在球迷眼中，郭士強(qiáng)是一位儒雅的教練，他在場(chǎng)邊運(yùn)籌帷幄，指揮若定。而在球員時(shí)代，他也曾是一位多面手。在效力于遼寧男籃期間，他創(chuàng)造過(guò)不少的數(shù)據(jù)紀(jì)錄。
2003年2月26日，遼寧盼盼123-110香港飛龍，郭士強(qiáng)此役23投12中，貢獻(xiàn)28分11籃板12助攻5搶斷1蓋帽的全面數(shù)據(jù)。全場(chǎng)比賽，郭士強(qiáng)不僅僅是得分王，也是兩隊(duì)唯一一個(gè)助攻上雙的球員。
彼時(shí)遼寧盼盼深陷保級(jí)泥潭，在面對(duì)積分墊底的香港飛龍，郭士強(qiáng)作為當(dāng)時(shí)隊(duì)內(nèi)唯一的國(guó)手，得分籃板助攻一把抓。在第三節(jié)命中兩記三分之后，讓比賽提前進(jìn)入練兵時(shí)間。
此役的表現(xiàn)也讓郭士強(qiáng)成為遼寧男籃隊(duì)史首位得到20+三雙的球員。
在此之前，CBA聯(lián)賽歷史上本土球員只有胡衛(wèi)東斬獲過(guò)20+三雙。（2000年1月26日對(duì)陣吉林通鋼的比賽中得到29分10籃板11助攻）
